Board meetings are held at the offices of Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District (LGVSD) at 2:00 p.m. on the same date as regular meetings of the Board of Directors of LGVSD unless an agenda is not posted, in which case the regular meeting is cancelled. The MPFA annual meeting is typically held the first regular meeting of each calendar year. Overview
The Marin Public Financing Authority (MPFA) is a joint powers authority (JPA) formed in January 2017 under California’s Joint Exercise of Powers Act by the Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District and the Sausalito-Marin City Sanitary District. As a JPA, MPFA is a separate public entity from its member agencies, created to facilitate public financing such as issuing or purchasing bonds and providing loans for capital improvements and other public benefit projects on behalf of its members. Governance of the Authority is vested in a Board of Directors, with each member agency appointing representatives to oversee policy decisions, financing actions, and the general administration of the Authority.
