About the District
- Land Area: 71 square miles
- Population: 65,000 (estimated)
- Areas Served: The Novato Fire District is located in the northern most section of Marin County. It encompasses approximately 71 square miles. It is bounded on the north by San Antonio Creek and Sonoma County, by Pacheco Grade and the community of Marinwood to the south, by the Petaluma River and San Pablo Bay to the east, and westerly to a point approximately three miles past Stafford Lake. The City of Novato is served by the District.
